3:35Now PlayingThere have been a spur of claims and theories floating since the news of increased deployment of security forces in the Kashmir valley emerged. Many feared the development as a sign of the on going India-China conflict at the border region being escalated. This has resulted in panic among the people living in the area. In a bid to ally the fears, a senior police official of the J&K police has confirmed that the deployment is only due to the Amarnath Yatra being allowed by the government. He added that the actions were normal and happened every year. The security forces are being deployed in these difficult time, due to the COVID crisis and the need to control crowds to curb the spread.
