He said ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will be extended till the end of November; 80 crore people to get free ration for five more months; an extension to cost over ₹ 90,000 crores. Each family member will be provided with 5 kg free wheat/rice with 1 kg free whole chana per family per month. In the last 3 months, ₹. 31,000 crore deposited in bank accounts of 20 crore poor families. Also, ₹ 18,000 crores deposited in bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers, the prime minister added.’
