2:16Now PlayingThe Centre told the Supreme Court today, that it will not deport the 3,000 foreign Tablighi Jamaat congregation members amid on-going criminal cases against the attendees. The Centre further said that it has written to chief secretaries of all states and UT's asking them to ensure no foreign national associated with the Tablighi event was allowed to leave the country after finishing their mandatory quarantine period. The Centre says that it has the power to regulate visa and deportation of foreigners. The cases are registered against the foreign attendees for various violations of COVID-19 norms and endangering citizens of India.
