3:16Now PlayingChennai had entered a period of total lockdown from 19th June to 30th June. This period was once again extended until 5th July.
Starting from Monday new relaxations have been announced in the City with vegetable and grocery stores allowed to be open from 6 am to 6 pm. Earlier the permitted time period was until 2 pm. A tea stall is allowed to be open along with restaurants but only parcel services can be provided, no dine-in. Shops and showrooms are allowed to function except in Malls and without using air conditioning. Rental cabs and taxis are allowed to ply and no need for e-pass to travel within the City.
However, all Sundays in July will still be under a total lockdown and e-pass will be required to travel between districts in the State.
