In a startling revelation, private hospitals in Bengaluru are currently working with 50 percent of the total nursing staff that is provided to the hospitals. It is said that the staff has reduced since the time the breakout happened. According to the data provided by the Private Hospitals and Nursing Home Association, there are a total of 5250 nurses across all the private hospitals in Bengaluru. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, 30 percent of the staff has not resumed their duty due to COVID fear and 10 percent due age restrictions in COVID wards and 10 percent are unwilling to work due to COVID wards.
