A large quantity of gold has been smuggled from Kerala in the diplomatic baggage addressed to the UAE consulate. This shipment of contraband was seized by the customs department at the Thiruvananthapuram International airport. 37 Kgs of gold was found by the customs. The key conspirator is said to be a former woman employee at the UAE consulate in Kerala.
