8:51Now PlayingThe Kerala gold smuggling case has become an ongoing debate on condemning the use of diplomatic channels, a big development that took place, as the customs department in Trivandrum is now all set to interrogate the attache to whom the diplomatic consignment was addressed. Around thirty-kilogram gold was seized on the Thiruvananthapuram airport from a baggage address to UAE consulate in Kerala. Customs has also sought the permission of the indirect tax department on the issue. According to the Customs department, they doubt the authenticity of the letter. Swapna Suresh who is a locally hired employee and she was fired after the misconduct. According to the statement by the UAE, the embassy said that the employee exploited knowledge of the mission's diplomatic channels. Watch the video to know more!
