Earlier notices had also been issued to four private hospitals in the area over the issue of overcharging Coronavirus patients. There are 25 private hospitals in the city which specifically treat COVID patients. One hospital in Thane lost their license due to overcharging and inflated bills.
More hospitals are under the scanner as the Kalyan Dombivli Civic body has received four complaints. Kalyan Dombivli region is the worst affected region in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and many hospitals are trying to exploit this situation amid the Coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown.
