Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy stated that it is disheartening to see the 3 language system in the NEP brought by Centre.
Requests Prime Minister to reconsider 3 language system and allow States to implement it as per their own policies.
The decision was taken after holding a meeting with the State Education Minister Sengottaiyan and other senior ministers.
Prior to this DMK and its allied parties also wrote to the Chief Minister seeking a resolution against the New Education Policy.
In fact, Opposition party leaders claimed that NEP is paying ways for Hindi and Sanskrit imposition into the State.
CM EPS released a statement that also reflected the same sentiments as he quoted former State Chief Ministers' Annadurai, MG Ramachandran, and J Jayalalitha who also opposed the 3 language system.
