Pune has seen a jolting spike on COVID-19 cases. The ‘education capital’ has recorded over 1.3 lakh positive cases, which is the highest number ever reported from across the nation. While the COVID-19 treatment facility was promised to be built, the work on building the hospital remains quite slow.

When Mirror now visited one of the facilities, it had no beds, no basic electrical work had begun. There were mud-filled path and rains are further making it difficult for the facility to start sooner. The officials have promised that the facility will be ready in 3 days, however, the ground reality check exposes another apathy.
