Central Crime Branch investigating Bengaluru violence case has invoked Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in two cases with regard to the Bengaluru violence. The State government on Monday officially decided to recover the damages caused to public and private properties in the arson and violence East Bengaluru on August 11 from the vandals, as per the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA Act). In the cabinet meeting on Thursday, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai mentioned that the government would recommend a ban on SDPI to the centre.
