Now all people will not be to go to immersion places like beaches or lakes. Citizens staying in 1-2km of radius only will be only allowed
This time BMC in every ward has started Ganesh Idol centres where people will have to handover the Idols to them and BMC volunteers will carry out immersion. BMC has made an arrangement of 167 artificial ponds in the city.
For people staying in containment zones, BMC has advised them to make arrangement within their society or building for immersion.
In four BMC wards, BMC has made online slot booking for immersion compulsory.
