as posted by the channelOn Monday evening at 7 pm, a 5 floors building collapsed in Mahad, RAIGAD district of Maharashtra. The top three floors of the building collapsed killing one and over 20 people still feared trapped inside.
Residents blame faulty construction for the reason for the collapse and several warnings were raised but the builder ignored.
It was only a seven-year-old and not even mentioned in the dilapidated list.
However, rescue operations are going in a very slow manner. In the last 12 hours, not a single recovery/rescue has happened. Only seven people have been rescued since yesterday and last happened at 10 pm.
Maharashtra government has initiated a probe. FIR has also been registered against all the concerned parties - the builder, contractor, and architect.
