3:12Now PlayingAfter Semester exams, Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy announced the cancelation of Arrear exams.
Based on the expert panel recommendation, all students except final year students who have paid fees for arrear papers are exempted from writing the exams. Marks for these exams will be awarded based on guidelines given by the University Grants Commission and All India Council for Technical Education.
The state has already promoted students pursuing BA, BSc, MA, MSc, BE/B Tech/ B Arch, ME/ M Tech, MCA and Diploma courses to the next academic year.
This move has turned him into a Celebrity among students who have repaid him with scores of memes and one group even kept a banner praising him.
