12,405 samples analyzed and samples collected between 18th to 28th July.
- Antibodies detected in 21.5%.
- Until 6th August, Tamilnadu reported 2,68,285 cases with Chennai reporting 1,05,004.
- The survey shows a huge variance of seroprevalence with 7.1% at Madhavaram and 44.2 at Tondiarpet, one of the severely affected zones.
One-fifth of the population of Chennai likely to be affected. The survey shows that around 80% of the population is still susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 in Chennai.The detailed study required to understand reasons for varying seroprevalence across zones.
