Mirror now analyzed the data from the 10 last days of July and August. This data is significant as it records a spike in cases during the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Mumbai saw nearly 9,600 cases in the last 10 days of July while around 10,400 cases were seen in the last 10 days of August.
Meanwhile, in Pune, nearly 18,000 cases were in last 10 days of July as opposed to nearly 19,200 cases in the same time period in August.
