3:18Now PlayingTamil Nadu: Chief Minister EdappadiK Palanisamy's decision to suspend arrears exams and announcing those who paid for it as 'cleared' is challenged by AICTE.
All India Council for Technical Education Chairman Anil Sahasrabuddhe wrote to Anna University Vice-Chancellor MK Surappa warning of stripping off Anna University's approval. When asked about this to Higher Education Minister KP Anbalagan, he stated that decision was taken following AICTE guidelines and no such letter was written.
However, the e-mail copy has been leaked where Anil Sahasrabuddhe has stated that he's surprised to know about final year degree students who have failed in various subjects are being passed with conducting any exams. He calls it unacceptable and claims that AICTE would be constrained to withdraw approval of Anna University.
