3:42Now PlayingEver since the COVID-19 outbreak happened in India, Maharashtra has been one of the worst affected states in the country. Amongst the lack of oxygen supply in some health care facilities, the Uddhav Thackeray government has decided to reserve 80% of oxygen supply for medical use only. Maharashtra daily needs around 1,200 metric tons of oxygen for medical use.
Maharashtra in the last one week has recorded more than 1,36,000 cases.
The centre has also asked the suppliers to increase the manufacturing of oxygen, so as the patients with critical conditions do not have to move from one hospital to another in search of oxygen. The centre has also asked seven states, including Maharashtra to reserve oxygen supply for medical use.
