After several rounds of the marathon meeting, EPS.and OPS faction within the party finally agrees on neutral terms. Deputy CM O Panneerselvam agrees and announced CM Edappadi K Palaniswami as the CM candidate from the party for 2021 elections
The catch is that as per OPS faction demand, a steering committee apparently was created, the members were chosen and power-sharing was all discussed within the past 24 hr. In fact, the last round of meeting went from 6 pm on Tuesday from 3.30 am on Wednesday morning. Post the meeting, around 10 am, the announcement has been made.
The Steering committee gas 11 members of which Dindigul C Sreenivasan, P Thangamani, S P Velumani, D Jayakumar, C Ve Shanmugam, R Kamaraj are from EPS camp and JCD Prabhakar, Manoj K Pandian, P Mohan, R Gopalakrishnan and Manickam are from OPS camp.
Though it looks like all has been resolved, several senior leaders claim that many more plots are yet to unravel.
