This additional charge will be assigned to Piyush Goyal apart from his existing portfolio. This was after the demise of Ram Vilas Paswan.
Ram Vilas Paswan was the Union Minister as well as the founder of the LJP. He passed away on Oct 8 and was 74 years old. He underwent heart surgeries. He had served as the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the Narendra Modi led govt.
