2:02Now PlayingChennai Mask Survey: The Greater Chennai Corporation and ICMR's National Institute of Epitomology have conducted a joint survey to assess the proportion of population wearing masks in the Greater Chennai Corporation region and the findings of this are rather disappointing. According to the survey, nearly 72% of people in the slums and 64% in the non-slum areas did not wear mask covering their nose and mouth.
Mask compliance was highest in the non-slum regions of South Chennai at 42% and lowest in slum areas in North Chennai at 23%.Only one third people of all age groups wore masks correctly covering their nose and mouth.
