4:23Now PlayingThe Indian biotechnology company, Bharat Biotech announced commencement of phase III trials for Covaxin in partnership with ICMR on Monday. The phase III trials will involve 26,000 volunteers across India. This is the largest phase III efficiency study conducted in India and also its 1st phase III study for Covid-19 vaccine. The Moderna vaccine developed by the US biotech Moderna and US federal agency showed 94.5 percent efficiency in clinical trials. 30,000 volunteers were analyzed to test this vaccine. The second US vaccine by Pfizer also shows strong results upto 90 percent. By the end of this year doses of 20 million vaccines are expected to made available.
