The party is now facing the biggest test of nationalism, after the big loss in the Bihar elections, RJD has now blamed the Congress party for its loss. Sarika Kumari, RJD, says that 'We never blamed the Congress party for the loss. All the parties in the Mahaghathbandhan worked hard. There must be one or two people who must have expressed their personal views but this is not the party's view'. RJD has now slammed the Congress party for its loss in the Bihar elections, there has been a massive controversy that has now erupted concerning the organisational difference in the party, Kapil Sibal reads the riot act saying that Congress party thinks ‘all is well’. There is an existential crisis for the Congress party that has been intensifying.

Now that Nitish Kumar has sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state of Bihar, this is his fourth term. RJD boycotted the Chief Minister’s swearing ceremony after the massive loss. The new cabinet will include various challenges pertaining to different issues that the state is tackling. COVID crisis and unemployment are at the top-most. Along with Nitish Kumar, his new cabinet also took the oath, Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi have been sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. Radhika Ramaseshan, Consulting Editor, Business Standard says, that this is not going to be a very stable coalition as far as she can see, she further adds that Had Sushil Modi been there, his presence would have made all the difference, But he is not there.
