Highlighting the poor healthcare status, the report stated that there were inadequate beds in a government hospital, people even had to undergo stress and trauma; Government’s spending on healthcare facilities is abysmally low.
The Parliamentary Committee Report also stated that specific guidelines for COVID-19 treatment were absent, due to which, many patients in private hospitals were overcharged. The report claimed that one cannot limit healthcare facilities to only those who can afford it, the government needs to be considerate and support private hospitals.
