To this Indian Medical Association (IMA) has said that the government is playing with the health of people.
"This is not a fight between Allopathy & Ayurveda. We want Ayurveda to grow and progress. Our worry is 'mixopathy', the creation of hybrid doctors" added former national president of IMA, Dr. Ravi Wankhedkar.
The decision to allow Ayurveda practitioners to perform surgery as crucial as heart transplant has stirred controversy amongst the community of doctors. Is it a justified move?
