5:54Now PlayingThe Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced another cyclone in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Cyclone Burevi. It is expected to emerge into the Gulf of Mannar in the coming few hours. This is the second cyclone in the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in less than a week. NDRF teams have been deployed in both the states to deal with the predicted catastrophe.
The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah has assured support to the states in this difficult situation. He said that the Centre is committed to providing "all possible support" to the two states. However, the Vice President of IMD, V. P. Sharma says this cyclone will not able as severe as the previous one.
