The ceremony was attended by political leaders of the state including former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Visuals from the wedding show guests without masks, even as the crowd was much larger than the prescribed limit. This comes after the Maharashtra government had made it mandatory for all to wear masks for the next six months. The number of COVID norms violations such as people not wearing masks has been going up in the state and it has been a cause of concern for a long while now.
