2:23Now PlayingAfter the government announced that there will be no indemnity provided to India's vaccine makers, Serum Institute of India (SII) and Bharat Biotech International, and their purchase pacts do not include the provision, SII CEO Adar Poonawalla made a statement saying that vaccine supplies will be at risk without indemnity for the companies. Both Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech had requested indemnity in case there are health complications after the vaccination however, the government did not grant this permission clearly stating that the manufacturers of the vaccine against the deadly novel coronavirus will be liable to pay damages.
