Ahead of the state polls the Tamil Nadu, both DMK and AIADMK are now batting the release of the seven convicts, serving a life term sentence in Rajiv Gandhi's killing case. In 1991, 14 people along with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was killed in a bomb blast by the members of LTTE, in the state of Tamil Nadu. However, the DMK and AIADMK are now seeking the release of these convicts, and the attention is now on TN governor Banwarilal Purohit, to decide on this matter in just three-four days. Supreme Court pulled up the governor over his tardiness in this matter.
