The memorial has been built at the cost of 80 crore rupees. Earlier, it was Jayalalithaa's house which has been converted into a memorial now. The structure of the memorial is made to look like a phoenix. This event is said to be AIADMK's homage to the late Jayalalithaa. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, O Panneerselvam will address the party workers. Jayalalithaa's close aid V.K. Sasikala will also be released from the jail today. She has been admitted to the hospital due to COVID-19.
