On the 72nd Republic day, a bunch of farmers went violent during the Tractor Rally which resulted in a lot of police and the local public getting injured. The action made localities too withdraw their support from the farmers as well and request the police to get the protest area vacated. The BKU leader Rakesh Tikait however, says that the farmers will not be withdrawing from the protests.
16 political parties to boycott presidential address tomorrow. The Uttar Pradesh government asks all protest sites in the U.P. to be vacated by tonight.
Madhu Yashki, Congress spokesperson says that the Farm Laws were passed without the due process of law. Congress had given the slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan", but unfortunately under BJP rule, it has turned to "Mar Rahe Jawan, Mar Rahe Kisaan." Over 175 farmers have died.
BJPs Tuhin A Sinha however feel that this is an irresponsible Opposition which looks for excuses to bunk Parliament. Even on the day when farm laws were passed, the NCP and Shiv Sena walked out even before the law was tabled.
