1:25Now PlayingIn a massive jolt to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, five former Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. Former TMC leader Rajib Banerjee, Baishali Dalmiya, Prabir Ghoshal and Rathin Chakraborti met Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi and officially joined the party in the presence of other senior BJP leaders Kailash Vijayvargiya and Mukul Roy. Speaking on the development, Vijayvargiya said that people in Bengal are realising that only the BJP can do development there. He then accused the TMC government of swindling the people in the eastern state till now.
