13:07Now PlayingEducation is one of the most important sectors that is looked at by a state. However, in Karnataka, the situation is different. Chief minister BS Yeddiyurappa is so busy trying to quell the dissent in his party, he has forgotten to look at the issues faced by parents and children in the state. After blocking children from not attending online class for not being able to pay the exorbitant fees charged by educational institutions, now the schools have asked the parents to confirm if they wish their children to continue in the same school by paying the term fees by this month, or take the transfer certificate and leave the school. Mirror Now confronted education minister Suresh Kumar and asked him why the state has failed to regulate school fees despite the previous congress government passing an order in May 2018, he admitted to us saying that the state has no idea about the order and that they will be looking into and then taking a decision.
