But, why is this significant? Are these results, a referendum on Farm Laws? Congress was in power during Manmohan Singh, why didn't they allow MSP to the entire country? Why in 2019 manifesto, the party said the abolition of APMC is required?
Congress' Aadil Boparai shares 2 significant developments in the Punjab Civil Polls: (1) Gurdaspur seat is held by BJP's Sunny Deol & now Congress has swept all municipal votes in this seat (2) BJP has barely managed to open their account in Hoshiarpur seat.
BJP’s Charu Pragya, on the other hand, says that ‘Punjab isn't the entire country; if this is how the politics were to playout, no reforms would happen. We wouldn't have GST reforms, Triple Talaq being abolished or abrogation of Article370’.
