The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government also distanced itself from controversial police officer Sachin Vaze, who was detained by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), saying that the state government intervened as soon as Vaze's name appeared in the case.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray hosted a meeting of senior ministers from all three coalition partners, the Shiv Sena, the NCP, and the Congress, at his official residence, Varsha, in South Mumbai.
