3:50Now PlayingThe Karnataka WAQF Board has issued a circular on the use of loudspeakers in dargahs as well as mosques. According to the circular, the use of loudspeakers will not be permitted between 10 pm to 6 am, this during the Azaan in all mosques and dargahs in the State. Sound emitting firecrackers will also be not allowed.
WAQF Board says that the decision to block loudspeakers was considered to curb noise pollution. The WAQF Board CEO said that the board has followed the guidelines laid down by the Pollution Control Board while formulating the circular.
