9:18Now PlayingAs the country celebrates the colourful festival of Holi, India recorded over 68,000 new COVID-19 cases across 7 states, taking the total tally to 1,20,39,644. With 291 deaths in the last 24 hours, the overall death toll touched 1,61,843. There are 5,21,808 active coronavirus cases in the country while as many as 1,13,55,993 people have recovered from the disease. Maharashtra, the most severely hit state, recorded 40,414 new cases yesterday while Karnataka reported more than 3,000 cases for the first time since November 5.
