1:58Now PlayingDelhi: As many as 12 COVID-19 patients, including a senior doctor, died at Batra Hospital in Delhi on April 1st afternoon due to oxygen shortage. This is the second time in a week that the hospital has run out of medical oxygen. On April 24, the hospital received an emergency oxygen supply minutes after it exhausted its stock. The hospital informed the Delhi High Court, which is hearing a batch of petitions on oxygen crisis in the national capital, that they were out of oxygen today and lost lives too, including the HOD of gastroenterology department. "We could not save them even after making effort from our end. Since this wave hit the country, we have been demanding oxygen from the government," Dr SCL Gupta, Medical Director of the hospital said.
