Kerala has requested a moratorium on the accrual of interest and penal interest on loans during the duration of the moratorium. In a letter to Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman, Kerala Finance Minister K N Balagopal stated the impact of the second wave induced lockdown has harmed the economic and social well-being of all sectors of society.
