1:35Now PlayingThe West Bengal administration asked the Calcutta High Court on Sunday, June 20th, to recall a judgment by a five-judge bench ordering the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to visit districts in the state where there had been post-poll violence. The five-judge bench, which included Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Jindal, Justice Indra Prasanna Mukherjee, Justice Soumen Sen, Justice Harish Tandon, and Justice Subrata Talukder, was hearing a petition filed by BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal, who was defeated in the Assembly elections in Entally in Kolkata, on Sunday. According to Tiberwal, a number of people fled their homes to escape the post-election violence and were unable to return home.
