2:03Now PlayingAlong with the COVID-19 crisis, bigger concerns have arisen regarding the disposal of huge quantities of biomedical waste. This has been reported in the state of Tamil Nadu, over 80 tonnes of biohazards waste produce have been recorded per day in which only 44 wastes are processed. These biohazards waste used PPE Kits, masks, syringes and more such products which are dangerous for the masses. Environmental activists of the state have demanded to have at least one processing facility to remove these wastes safely from districts. Tamil Nadu Health Minister has also said that there will be no compromise on the disposal of these wastes. Listen in!
