2:27Now PlayingIn an unexpected act, which is now attracting public attention, Siddipet Collector P Venkatrami Reddy touched the feet of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at an official function at the Siddipet district headquarters on Sunday. The incident happened after KCR inaugurated the newly constructed collectorate at Duddeda after the inauguration of the MLA camp office and the commissioner. As a ritual payment, KCR made the Collector sit in his room. The gesture drew sharp criticism from various quarters that the Collector had mortgaged the self-respect of the IAS cadre officers at the feet of the Chief Minister. Netizens tagged the IAS Association to condemn Reddy's gesture. Various MLA's were present at the location, but none of them were seen wearing a mask. Covid norms were flaunted at this event.
