Covid-19 vaccination doses were given to over 5.4 million persons across the country. The country's vaccination numbers fell from the previous day, but remained much higher than the drive's prior pace. India's current round of vaccinations began on Monday, with a record 8.5 million doses provided in a single day, more than any other country except China. P Chidambaram, a Congress leader, took an aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government after India observed a dramatic drop in overall vaccinations on Tuesday, compared to Monday's record figure.
