2:43Now PlayingOn Tuesday, the Supreme Court asked States and Union Territories to implement the ‘One Nation, One Ration card’ scheme by July 31st while directing the Centre to set up a portal for registering the migrant workers. A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and M. R. Shah also issued a slew of directions to the Centre and the state governments relating to migrant workers' welfare due to Covid-19. SC also directed state governments to provide dry rations and continue community kitchens for the migrant workers until the pandemic continues and keep allocating food grains to the states for distribution among migrant workers for free until the pandemic situation exists.
