Taliban has forcefully entered Kandahar, Afghanistan’s second-largest city, in a new phase of a sweeping insurgent offensive that has captured territory across the country since May 1, when U.S. forces began withdrawing. In this regard, The India mission is now to evacuate all its India- based personnel from Kandahar which is leading by the local Afghan staff who works for the Indian Government. However, the Taliban claims they have taken 80-85% of the territory. It looks like the situation in Afghanistan continues to be critical. Taliban fighters surround the provincial capital of Ghazni & its surrounding areas. The insurgents have taken over homes of civilians to fight the security forces.
