4:11Now PlayingThe Supreme Court on Thursday has expressed alarm at the rampant misuse of sedition law in the country. CJI Ramana has also expressed reservation at continuing the use of the provision that is Section 124 A of IPC, inserted during the colonial era in 1870, purportedly to curb dissent. He also indicated that the continuation of these types of laws after 73 years of independence is very unfortunate and said that the Government is taking out many laws and he doesn't know why they are not looking into this.
