3:13Now PlayingThe Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs will visit Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh later this month, amid the border standoff with China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The visit is scheduled between August 16 to August 24, the group will go on a week-long tour to the LAC to assess the situation. The 31-member team, led by senior Congressman Anand Sharma, would tour Border Out Posts (BOPs) near the LAC to review the working conditions of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). It will also meet with members from the Ministry of Home Affairs in Leh to assess the administration, development, and welfare of the people of Ladakh.
