The increased showers will be caused by a moisture intrusion when a monsoon trough passes through Amritsar, Dehradun, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, and Patna on its way to Arunachal Pradesh. Between August 4 and 6, the Met Department has issued a heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for the Gangetic West Bengal region. The existence of a cyclonic circulation over the north Bay of Bengal and nearby areas, as well as the passing of the eastern section of the monsoon trough, would bring severe rains to the area, according to the MET department.
