1:50Now PlayingHimachal Pradesh: 12 people have died in the landslide incident in the Kinnaur district. The rescue operations are currently underway in Kinnaur and many are feared to be trapped under the debris. The incident happened following the torrential rains and a truck and a bus carrying as many as 40 passengers were stuck under the debris after the tragedy unveiled itself. It is also being reported that several vehicles are also feared to be trapped under the debris on the Simla highway. The torrential rains have wreaked havoc in the area. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah took stock of the situation and immediately directed and provided assistance to the state government in order to carry out the rescue operation.
