Kandahar, the economic hub of the south, is now under Taliban control. The Taliban have also taken control of 18 out of 34 provinces and thus have taken over an estimated 65% of the country’s territory. The provinces include Zaranj, Sheberghan, Sar-e-Pul, Kunduz, Taluqan, Aybak, Farah, Pul-e-Khumri, Faizabad, Ghazni and many more.
